Health Care

The attorneys at Tache Bronis have dedicated years of experience to understanding the competitive, regulatory, and litigation environment for hospitals, surgery centers, physician practices, skilled nursing facilities and other healthcare providers.

Our regulatory practice encompasses advising clients regarding all aspects of Health Information Privacy and HIPAA, the Health Care Quality Improvement Act, the Patient Safety and Quality Improvement Act, medical staff issues, physician discipline, credentialing, peer review, and other medical review committee functions.

We assist clients in fraud prevention, detection and compliance matters, including reviewing transactions and practices for concerns regarding kickbacks, fee splitting, balance billing and miscoding.

In healthcare litigation matters, our experience ranges from business governance disputes, to consumer class action defense, and defense of state and federal False Claims act and related whistleblower claims.

Our attorneys have served as special counsel in over one thousand healthcare related litigation matters throughout the State of Florida, providing trial, appellate, and litigation support.

Civil Litigation

An important part of our practice is civil litigation for individuals, as well as for publicly traded and privately held companies. Our attorneys handle matters in highly specialized areas, including healthcare, banking and other financial services.

Our practice includes all manner of complex civil litigation, including class actions, foreign law disputes, and multi-forum litigation. We have experience in state and federal courts at the trial and appellate levels.

We also act as special counsel for certain litigation matters. In that role, our attorneys develop detailed institutional knowledge of client services, operations, personnel, and goals. We work closely with clients to create standard processes in order to streamline communication and create efficiencies.

When handling reimbursement matters, employment and whistleblower disputes, False Claims Act and Qui Tam litigation, other business torts, our experience makes us conscious of the criminal and regulatory implications of these potentially sensitive civil matters.

White Collar Criminal Defense

Our approach to investigation and white collar defense is client-focused. For individuals, the impact on their lives can be all consuming. For many, these challenges can also affect their business reputations, licenses, and financial interests.

Our attorneys advise targets and witnesses in grand jury investigations, guiding then through indictment, pretrial, trial and appellate proceedings in state and federal court throughout the United States and abroad.

When these concerns arise in overlapping civil, administrative and criminal proceedings, we work to ensure the handling of each proceeding considers its impact on each other.

In addition to representing individuals, our attorneys represent public and private corporations, and other entities in government and internal investigations. When those matters proceed to civil, administrative or criminal prosecution, our expertise in regulated fields such as food and drug, health care, government ethics, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) assist in obtaining favorable results.
